About Meisner Technique
My perspective is grounded in the Meisner technique, an improvisational acting method developed to help liberate actors’ expression through following one’s instincts over intellect. This helps to release students from the constraints of “doing” and instead allows for the ability to lean into the ease contained within “being.”
The foundational practice of the Meisner Technique is the “Repetition Exercise” – where repetition in words are used to free the actor to take their attention off of themselves and instead place it onto their partner’s real behavior. This “pinch and ouch” process as Meisner called it allows both students to be affected by one another so that an organic and truthful reaction can occur. This practice helps students learn to trust their instincts and allow them to spontaneously emerge, leading to truly lived moments. We aim to unleash the truth through cultivating a clear point of view, provide our unfiltered observations, and sometimes lean into the magic that can only be experienced with full presence moment-to-moment.
“To be an interesting actor – hell, to be an interesting human being – you must be authentic and for you to be authentic you must embrace who you really are, warts and all. Do you have any idea how liberating it is to not care what people think about you? Well, that’s what we’re here to do.”

About Organic Intelligence
My teaching also incorporates my training in Organic Intelligence, a healing modality that redirects the common focus in most therapeutic strategies from “what’s wrong” towards “what’s right” which is the approach that leads to biological synchrony, meaning root-level healing. This grows our capacity to handle everything that life throws at us with ease and even curiosity. This translates into living life in flow and with an embodied sense of joy. Rather than excavating the past or sitting in the pain, we lean into pleasure, which is actually the core catalyst of healing and what unlocks a true felt sense of our essential wholeness.
“We heal in the here-and-now, through attuned relationship, support and kindness. When our biology enters the phase of auto-organization, symptoms are relieved, self-efficacy emerges, and one’s post-trauma growth journey takes wings.”
